Donald Trump has only been president for a week and he is already making leaps and bounds on every promise that he offered during his campaign. One of his most anticipated pledges is now coming true as shocking information coming out of the US State Department proves that Trump is keeping his promise to “drain the swamp”.
Original reports from the lame-stream media alleged of a mass exodus from the State Department as several top officials tendered their resignation. However, it is very clear now that they have once again spun the facts to make Trump look bad.
Four top management officials were fired from the US State Department earlier this week by the Trump administration as part of an effort to “clean house” according to CNN Chief National Security Correspondent Jim Sciutto, who tweeted the breaking news on Thursday.

Patrick Kennedy, who served for nine years as the undersecretary for management, Assistant Secretaries for Administration and Consular Affairs Michele Bond and Joyce Anne Barr, and Ambassador Gentry Smith, director of the Office for Foreign Missions, were sent letters by the White House that their service was no longer required, the sources told CNN. All four, career officers serving in positions appointed by the President, submitted letters of resignation per tradition at the beginning of a new administration. The letters from the White House said that their resignations were accepted and they were thanked for their service.
The White House usually asks career officials in such positions to stay on for a few months until their successors are confirmed.
“Any implication that that these four people quit is wrong,” one senior State Department official said. “These people are loyal to the secretary, the President and to the State Department. There is just not any attempt here to dis the President. People are not quitting and running away in disgust. This is the White House cleaning house.”
Mark Toner, the State Department’s acting spokesman, said in a statement that “These positions are political appointments, and require the President to nominate and the Senate to confirm them in these roles. They are not career appointments but of limited term.”
Patrick Kennedy was at the heart of the Benghazi tragedy that took the lives of four American heroes. According to National Review, Congressional Republicans say that Kennedy was the point man for the security decisions leading up to the 2012 Benghazi embassy attack in Libya that killed four Americans, portraying him as a “stooge” for the Obama administration.
Kennedy, as well as the other three that were fired, also covered for Hillary Clinton in her email scandal. Kennedy, Barr, Gentry, and Muniz worked directly under Hillary Clintonand covered her ass, letting her get away with treason and murder.
While the details of why these State Department employees were fired will never be known, most will assume that their involvement in Clinton’s crimes is the reason for their termination. One thing is for certain, Trump is keeping his word and within his first week he has already started to drain the swamp.
