It is well known that Trey Gowdy, a republican congressman doesn’t like working in Washington D.C. The former federal prosecutor received prominence in his investigation of Hillary.
The former federal prosecutor will most likely be placed as a federal judge in the US Fourth circuit court of appeals.
This is a very powerful job, just a rank under US Supreme Court. The court is located in Richmond, Virginia, which would be closer to his family’s home in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Gowdy as a head of the fourth circuit of appeals will be responsible for five states including: South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.
